Are you in search of a more holistic approach to healthcare while still having access to conventional medicine when necessary? Ready to better understand your body and get to the root cause of your health issues? Our bodies are full of wisdom and if we listen very closely, they let us know just what they need. Sometimes, we just need a little support in interpreting these cues.

And, that's exactly what I am here to help you do.

What is natural medicine?

Natural medicine uses the healing power of nature to treat and prevent disease. Naturopathic doctors believe the body has an innate ability to heal. We help patients find their way to optimal wellness by removing barriers to cure and treating the root cause, rather than putting a band aid on symptoms.

A Naturopathic Doctor (ND) is trained at an accredited four year medical school following undergraduate and pre-requisite courses. These schools are accredited by the CNME (Council on Naturopathic Medical Education). After rigorous academic and clinic training, NDs must pass a series of board examinations to be licensed to practice medicine.

NDs are trained as primary care providers to diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illness. They are educated in the same basic sciences as MDs, but also study additional treatment approaches including nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine, physical medicine, and hydrotherapy. NDs use these modalities to prevent disease and optimize wellness. The philosophy of natural medicine is to treat the whole person and get to the root of the cause so that we can remove obstacles to cure rather than just treating  symptoms.
